Methodology and editorial standards

Each calculator starts with explicit user inputs, applies a documented formula, and presents an estimate with units and assumptions. Core calculation functions are covered by automated normal, edge, and zero-value tests.

Source and assumption policy

Physical conversions use stated units. User-editable rates are preferred where prices or platform fees can vary. Pages should identify important defaults and tell users when to confirm current values with a supplier, lender, marketplace, utility, or other primary source.

Corrections

Material formula changes require code review, automated validation, staging checks, and a recorded deployment. A calculator should be treated as an aid to independent verification, not a substitute for it.
